Special Announcement: Facility Expansion 2020 COMPLETE
We couldn’t be prouder to announce the completion of Hydra Dyne Tech’s facility expansion!
It all started in 1992, when Hydra Dyne Technology commenced its operation in Woodstock, Ontario, in a 10,000 square foot facility. In 2004, the company moved to its new, purpose-built facility in Ingersoll, Ontario (26,000 sq ft), which, 8 years later (2012), was expanded to 45,000 sq ft.
This year, we’ve finished our third expansion of the Ingersoll facility, which now totals 120,000 sq ft. To localize our material storage and enhance our efficiency, our Norwich facility has been merged with the expanded Ingersoll facility as well.
Within the expanded Ingersoll facility, 8,000 sq ft has been used to build a state-of-the-art material storage and handling system. This Fehr honeycomb shelving system works according to the principle of exchangeable cassettes and can be operated fully automatically as well as networked, resulting in absolute consistency and easy handling of raw material.
In essence, the 8,000 sq ft storage system footprint enables:
– 67,000 sq ft of storage space
– 4,400 metric tons of materials storage
– Automated material management
– Cost-effective material procurement for competitive pricing
All in all, it’s fair to say we’ve come a long way… from a hydraulics repair business in a 10,000 square foot facility, to a world-recognized custom hydraulic component design and manufacturing brand in a 120,000 square foot facility! The expansion is part of our growth strategy and is destined to help achieve our ambitious goal of doubling our revenue in the next 4 years by diversifying our product base, streamlining our process and expanding in new global markets.
We couldn’t be more excited for what our future holds, and thank all those who have played a role in helping us along the way.
