Partnership with Kiwanis Club: Coats for Families
Clothing Drive
As part of our continued involvement in supporting and bettering our local community, Hydra Dyne Technology has held an internal winter clothing drive (from mid-October until mid-November 2020) to gather winter attire. Lots of families continue to deal with rising living expenses, especially now with the current COVID-19 pandemic, and simply don’t have the means to purchase the clothing needed to stay warm during Ontario’s winters. With already having had our first snowfall of the season, winter is just around the corner and the need for adequate winter clothing is evident.
For this reason, our closets have been cleaned out, with new and gently-used coats, boots, scarves, hats, mittens, and much more collected for those in need of winter wear.
We’d like to thank all of our generous employees that have donated to our Winter Clothing Drive, reserved especially for Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll (who assist children, marginalized adults and families in our community). The donation boxes filled up nicely, and, in addition, we had the honour of donating an extra $1,000 to Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll to be used to help them purchase additional winter boots.
About this Partnership
We are happy to partner with Kiwanis Club of Ingersoll and to give back to our community to make sure everyone is properly dressed for the winter. We look forward to completing more of these projects in the future. Kudos to The Kiwanis Club, who are distributing all gathered clothing cost free with the help of Southwestern Public Health to ensure everyone is safe during the pandemic (Health Unit’ pandemic safety guidelines are followed during distribution.)
Let’s all work together to continue to support our community and give back, all winter long!
