INTERPUMP GROUP
On February 25, 2019, Hydra Dyne Tech was acquired by Interpump Group.
Interpump Group S.p.A. is the world’s largest producer of professional high-pressure piston pumps, as well as one of the global players in the market of hydraulic components.
The Interpump Group was born in 1977 in S.Ilario (near Reggio Emilia, in Italy), founded by Fulvio Montipò. Thanks to his technical improvements, including the use of innovative materials, the company was immediately able to produce high-pressure pumps that were smaller and easier to operate compared to competing products.
Interpump Group soon became the world’s largest producer of high-pressure piston pumps, and its products affirmed themselves as the reference on the market.
Starting from the 90s, the Group pursued growth beyond the piston pumps, through the acquisition of several leading companies manufacturing professional and industrial cleaning machines, and electric motors.
In 1996, Interpump Group was listed at the Milan Stock Exchange (Borsa Italiana).
Between 1997 and 1999, the Interpump Group entered the hydraulic components sector through the acquisition of several companies, becoming the world’s largest producer of power take-offs (PTO). In a move to reposition the Group focusing on applications with the highest added value, companies in the cleaning machinery and electric motor divisions were subsequently dismissed (respectively in 2005 and 2011).
With the same strategy, the Group went on with an acquisition campaign of leading companies in both divisions:
- In Water-Jetting, reinforcing the absolute leadership in high/very-high-pressure piston pumps, where higher and higher performances and product innovations dramatically increased the possibilities for applications. Starting in 2015, the horizon in this sector was expanded with the addition of high pressure homogenizers, agitators, many different types of pumps and components for flow handling in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.
- In Hydraulics, several producers of cylinders were acquired in 2007-2008; the years between 2013 and 2015 saw the creation of the Valves and DCV sub-division and the beginning of activities in Hoses and Fittings, which was expanded in the following years with flexible metal hoses, rigid shaped pipes, and complex piping systems.
